INSPIRE Awards Science Exhibition


DGSE Kahan Singh Pannu inaugurated the Exhibition; Education Minister Maluka motivated the students at concluding ceremony

Nawanshahr: After the successful organization of District Level Inspire Award Science Exhibition, KC Public School got opportunity to held State Level Inspire Awards Science Exhibition. 25 students from this exhibition were selected for the National Level Competition. The Director General School education (DGSE), Kahan Singh Pannu inaugurated this event while Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka was the chief guest at concluding ceremony.

DGSE Kahan Singh Pannu was visibly elated to experience the growing confidence, innovative spirit and creativity among the school students especially having rural background when he interacted with the budding scientists after inaugurating three day state level Inspire Awards Science Exhibition.

Lauding the concerted efforts of the school teachers and the students, the DGSE said, " The way the budding scientists have been translating the idea of developing innovative scientific attitude into reality by demonstrating their creativity through their models on different topics as well as suggesting ways to address the various problems facing by the common man, is a clear indication that the Inspire Awards Science Exhibition has succeeded in achieving its objective.”

As many as 486 models, which excelled at the district level Science Exhibitions, were being displayed at the state level exhibition and out of these, 25 models were selected by a panel of judges for participating in the national level exhibition. 25 students which were selected for National Level Competition included Jasmine Kaur ( Amritsar), Parneet Kaur, Harmanjit Singh ( Bathinda), Ved Parkash ( Fazilka), Gurdip ( Freozepur), Parminder Singh ( Fatehgarh Sahib), Richa Sharma, Gaurav Kalsi( Hoshiarpur), Jaswant Singh , Anju Sharma ( Jalandhar), Rajan Bhanot, Rohit Banger ( Kapurthala), Karamvir( Jalandhar), Anmol Singh( Ludhiana), Rajwinder Kaur( Ludhiana), Manpreet Singh ( Mansa), Simranjit Kaur ( Sri Muktsar Sahib), Anshu ( SBS Nagar), Binder Ram ( Patiala), Baljit ( Pathankot), Faisal Khan, Ritisha ( Ropar), Supanpreet Kaur ( Sangrur), Preeti and Avneet Aulakh ( Amritsar).

Apart from other dignitaries, Education Minister Sikander Singh Maluka was invited on the concluding day for prize distribution.

Lauding the zeal and dedication shown by the teachers and the students in taking part in the Inspire Awards Science Exhibition, the Education Minister said that such programmes had been helping in boosting innovative spirit, scientific attitude and creativity among the students. “There is no dearth of the talent among the students as well as the teachers in government schools and such initiatives help them in honing up their skills and creativity”, said Maluka while exhorting the teachers to dedicate themselves for bringing the best out of their students.

A large number of students, researchers and science scholars visited State Level Exhibition and admired the efforts of government.
